JOB DESCRIPTION

• Prepare dough, fillings, batters, icings and other components by measuring or weighing ingredients using graduated containers or scales to ensure uniformity.
• Responsible for the creation of all bread-related goods applicable to the bakery menu.
• Bake and Decorate cakes, pastries and other baked goods, including custom-made decorations for birthdays, weddings and other celebrations.
• Maintain safety and sanitary standards in production areas according to the State’s Health Code and internal standards.
• Actively participates in menu planning and the introduction of new products that meet established standards of quality and innovation
• Clean kitchen equipment and tools before use.
• Mix various ingredients to create fillings for cakes and pies.
• Maintain up to date knowledge about pastry arts and ingredients
• Perform routine checks on raw materials to ensure they adhere to high-quality standards and are not expired or damaged.
• Inspect baked goods to ensure they are of the highest quality, and remove any damaged items before they reach the display case.
• Adjust the amount of ingredients, the oven temperatures, conveyor speeds and humidity as needed so that all products come out as expected

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years experience as a Baker
• Must have attended Catering School

Salary range: N100,000 – 150,000
